A law firm seeks a corporate attorney with 4-8 years of relevant experience to join their Transactions Practice Group in Madison, WI. This role focuses on U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions, ideal for a candidate who can lead transactions with limited supervision.

Duties

• Lead day-to-day management of M&A transactions.
• Drive timelines and coordinate internal and external teams.
• Manage diligence and workstreams effectively.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and counterparties.
• Draft and negotiate principal deal documents.
• Supervise junior team members and oversee delegated workstreams.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in acquisitions, dispositions, and minority investments.
• Experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
• Effective project management and document drafting skills.
• Outstanding writing and communication abilities.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
• Timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar required.

Skills

• Strong academic credentials.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Experience advising clients across various industry sectors is a plus.
