Duties:

• Handle a substantial caseload of workers' compensation matters from intake to resolution

• Collaborate with case managers and legal support staff to streamline case flow

• Negotiate and settle claims efficiently and effectively

• Advocate on behalf of injured workers before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board

• Maintain detailed case files and documentation

• Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members

• Ensure timely compliance with all procedural requirements and deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of applicant-side workers’ compensation litigation experience in California

• Proven ability to negotiate settlements aligned with firm goals and client needs

• Experience practicing before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board

• Comfortable managing a high-volume docket independently

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Knowledge of California workers’ compensation statutes and procedures

• Case negotiation and settlement strategy

• Legal research and document drafting

• Time and task management in fast-paced settings

• Proficiency in communicating complex legal issues to clients and team members
