Experience in leading teams of narrative experts, storytellers and writers

Enthusiasm to partner with all types of creative talent, including Design Directors and Art Directors

Existing relationships with relevant freelance writers and strategists

Dedication to fostering a team culture of collaboration, respect and inclusivity

Commitment toward growing individual talent

The Narrative Director, Brand Defining, Consumer Direct Studios (CDS) delivers world-class narrative direction, developed with a holistic approach to platform-right creative that drives sport culture. They bring an obsession for storytelling with craft and taste, at scale. They partner closely with teammates to create connected concepts, content and experiences from ideation through production and delivery. They are adept at developing creative that amplifies a core point of view to achieve brand and business objectives. This Narrative Director has an expertise in storytelling, writing and the ability to craft messaging and creative frameworks with end in mind, online to offline. They possess the superpower to connect multiple stories and narratives across different platforms, over multiple seasons, for specific audiences. They’re an experienced people manager, coaching for growth and development; they’re comfortable collaborating with multiple strategic and marketing partners; and they’re passionate about fostering a team culture that prioritizes respect and inclusivity.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The Narrative Director, Brand Defining, CDS will work on seasonal and 365 creative that’s focused on Nike’s brand-wide initiatives, applied to both digital and physical spaces. Storytelling will center on athletes, innovation and the communities we serve.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll closely partner with the Design Director, Brand Defining, CDS. This role reports to the Sr Creative Director, Men’s & Brand Defining, CDS and often works with the Sr Creative Director, Design & Narrative, CDSas well as the VP Creative Director, Global CDS. You will lead a team of narrative experts and writers and will collaborate with designers, strategists, planners, producers and operations experts. You will partner regularly with other Global Brand Creative Studios, Global Brand Marketing and Global Consumer Direct Marketing. You will also be connected to Geo and City creative studios.
