Human Resources & Benefits Specialist

Responsibilities: Maintain ADP Workforce Now Database, including updating new hires, terms, leaves, status changes, transfers, benefits, salary increases, time and attendance. Assist with Payroll uploads of benefits, annual reviews and bonuses. Enroll employees with carriers for all insurance plans. Responsible for processing FMLA, PFL SDI and COBRA. Coordinate annual benefit updates during open enrollment with carriers/ADP database. Provide reports as required. Prepare review and submit all insurance bills through Chrome River. Reconcile monthly employee paid benefit billings to ADP records; identify and resolve billing and payroll discrepancies that arise. Maintain accurate, up-to-the minute records on hours worked, overtime status and scheduling, approving and clearing exceptions. Run necessary reports for end-of-pay cycle. Stay up-to-date with Healthcare Reform regulations; compile data to file ACA reports. Experience with utilizing E-Verify and tracking I-9 forms. Maintain online personnel, disability and benefit files according to record retention policy. Prepare orientation packets for new employee orientations both Legal & Non-Legal. Maintain OSHA records for workers compensation and prepare end-of-year reports. Assure proper Compliance Poster are ordered and posted for employees as required by law. Assist Marketing Department with demographical surveys. Arrange in-house Blood Drives. Oversee Company Safety programs such as First Aid, CPR & AED Trainings. Knowledge of 401k plans.
