Job Overview:

A New York City-based law firm with a well-established construction litigation practice is seeking both junior and senior-level attorneys to join its dynamic legal team. The firm is growing its litigation group and is interested in individuals with experience in construction-related defense, including NYS Labor Law, construction defect, and property damage litigation. Duties:

• Handle litigation matters related to construction, property damage, and NYS Labor Law claims

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Draft legal pleadings, discovery demands, and motions

• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings

• Evaluate claims, strategize a defense, and negotiate settlements

• Communicate with clients, experts, and other counsel

• Collaborate with partners and associates on case development

• Participate in mentoring, training, or integration of new legal staff

• Contribute to practice development initiatives or firm-wide referrals

Requirements:

• Prior experience in construction litigation, preferably including NYS Labor Law defense

• Familiarity with construction defects and property damage claims

• Experience handling depositions and court appearances

• Insurance coverage or risk management experience is considered a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic standing

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (preferred)
