Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Auto and General Liability Attorney to join their team in the New York area. This role offers flexibility in office location and a hybrid work-from-home schedule.

Duties

• Oversee day-to-day case management with full litigation responsibilities.
• Draft and argue motions, attend court conferences, and conduct depositions.
• Prepare discovery responses and coordinate medical examinations.
• Communicate directly with clients and carriers on case strategy and updates.
• Collaborate with a supportive team while maintaining autonomy over files.
• Contribute to cases involving premises liability and general negligence.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York Bar is required.
• Admission in New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania is a plus.
• 1-5 years of relevant defense litigation experience.
• Strong background in liability, property damage, and uninsured/underinsured litigation.
• Extensive deposition experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently with guidance from team leaders.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar.
