Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Complex Litigation Attorney to join its Hartford, CT office. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with a strong litigation background who are looking to expand their careers by working with prominent national clients on complex cases involving general liability, personal injury, transportation, and catastrophic injury matters. A flexible hybrid working arrangement is available.

Location:

• Hartford, Connecticut

Duties:

• Independently manage a complex litigation caseload from inception through resolution

• Conduct trial preparation, investigations, court appearances, mediations, and depositions

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and related legal documents

• Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategies

• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and strategic guidance

• Contribute to client meetings and evaluations

Requirements:

• 2–15 years of defense litigation experience

• Experience handling personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, transportation, or related civil litigation matters preferred

• Client-facing experience is preferred

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently

• Legal project management experience helpful

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York (admission to additional states a plus)

Skills:

• Superior analytical, research, and litigation skills

• Strong written and oral communication abilities

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment

• Effective client relationship management and counseling skills
