A law firm seeks a Senior Associate with 5 to 8 years of litigation experience to join its San Francisco office. This role involves defending public and private entities in high-exposure matters, including employment disputes, personal injuries, and class actions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in depositions, discovery, and motion practice.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of 10-20 matters.
• Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Review and analyze documents for production.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and submit pleadings and motions.
• Attend hearings and argue motions.
• Prepare pre-trial and trial documents.
• Prepare cases for mediation/trial and participate in mediation/trial.
• Report effectively to clients.

Requirements

• Admission to the bar in California.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of litigation.
• Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.
• Effective oral advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

Education

• Possess excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
