Duties

  • Conduct impartial and thorough investigations into workplace complaints, including harassment, fraud, compliance issues, and whistleblower claims.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and substantiated reports with complex legal analyses.
  • Edit and proofread investigation reports for clarity and legal precision.
  • Perform legal research on employment law and investigation issues.
  • Counsel clients on employment law matters and investigation processes.
  • Develop and present training materials related to workplace investigations.
  • Handle administrative duties as required.
  • Participate in business development activities to enhance the firm’s presence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing employment law.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations.
  • Member of the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel within California as needed.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of the California State Bar in good standing.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interviewing skills, particularly in conducting impartial investigations.
  • In-depth knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
  • Formal training in workplace investigations is preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely while managing workload and maintaining productivity.
