A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney to join its Chemical & Life Sciences Practice Group in Greenville, SC. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, from early-stage companies to Fortune 100 corporations, providing strategic intellectual property counsel and securing patent protection for innovations in fields such as advanced materials, specialty chemicals, and medical devices.

Duties

• Collaborate with in-house teams to develop and execute global IP strategies.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Prepare opinions of counsel.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in related technologies.
• Membership in the U.S. Patent Bar.
• Minimum of 1 year of patent drafting and prosecution experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Certifications

• U.S. Patent Bar membership.
