Data Analyst

Profile

The Data Analyst is responsible and accountable for the collection, management, and use of comprehensive information obtained from internal and external computer systems (i.e. Banner and CommonApp). The data analyst prepares computer generated reports that are used to assist with the recruitment and admission of students to the University. The data obtained is used to ensure that daily ongoing office operations related to the admission of students to the University are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the work activity of

the data entry processing team

. Provide support and training to the processing unit.

Prepare computer generated

reports for Admission manageme

nt team members to assist with all activities related to the recruitment of students to the University

Prepare and manage the electronic and written notification of admission decisions for all applicants

Prepare, organize, and review information obtained from the campus based data-system (Banner) daily to determine when and how to disseminate information to appropriate campus personnel.

Work closely with members of the Information Technology and Computer Center departments on all matters related to the electronic process of applications for admission.

Requirements

Computer software knowledge of various programs to include Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience in a college setting preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills
