The candidate will install and maintain the performance of database servers. Set and maintain database standards. Manage database access. Provide guidance and support to Application Developers. Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning. Review and deploy SQL patches. Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security. Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users. Consider both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users. Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades. Implement and manage company data management practices and policies. Design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code. Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements. Collate, prepare, and present statistical information for internal and external use. 2nd level support for data driven applications. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field is required. Should have 1-3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field. Should have 5+ years of knowledge with computer operating systems. Should have 3+ years of experience in administering, managing, and tuning databases. Should have 2+ years of experience with programming languages such PowerShell/TSQL coding. Extensive experience with MS database technologies (MS SQL, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services) is required. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) is a plus.
