A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience and active bar admission in Virginia. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in insurance defense law and be adept at handling various insurance-related matters.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to insurance companies and their insureds in defense of bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide timely and accurate legal advice to clients.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients, claims professionals, and experts to develop and implement case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Manage a caseload efficiently and effectively while meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in Virginia for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proven experience in insurance defense law, preferably focusing on bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Strong litigation skills and experience handling all aspects of litigation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.

Education and Certifications:
