A law firm seeks a Junior Mergers And Acquisitions Clearance Team Associate Attorney to contribute to the efficient functioning of the firm's M&A clearance team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in assessing HSR reportability, preparing HSR forms, managing filing preparation, and conducting substantive antitrust analysis. Exceptional drafting and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to deadlines are essential.

Duties:

• Assess HSR reportability and prepare HSR forms.
• Manage filing preparation, coordinating with clients, corporate teams, and opposing counsel.
• Conduct substantive antitrust analysis of competitor transactions.
• Assist in Second Request responses.
• Provide general antitrust counseling support.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Experience in regulatory/corporate mergers and acquisitions preferred.
• Background working with private equity fund clients is advantageous.
• Exceptional drafting and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

• Proficiency in assessing HSR reportability and preparing HSR forms.
