A prominent law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its dynamic Insurance Regulatory Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing an insurance regulatory practice, with an opportunity to engage in counseling clients and interacting with regulators. The role involves supporting various areas of insurance, including life and health insurers, property and casualty carriers, surplus lines insurers, and more. Duties:

• Assist in developing and managing an insurance regulatory practice.
• Support and counsel clients regarding insurance company licensing, product development, and form/rate filing.
• Conduct research and provide analysis on regulatory compliance matters across multiple states.
• Participate in financial and market conduct examinations.
• Engage with clients and regulatory bodies to address compliance and legal concerns.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on complex insurance-related matters.
• Contribute to corporate work related to licensing, including agent, MGA, and TPA licensing.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of legal experience in regulatory or insurance-related fields.
• Strong interest in insurance regulatory practice.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proven record of managing tasks with attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic performance is required.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for waiver/admission).
