Duties

• Manage patent prosecution for diverse clients, including Fortune 100 companies and startups.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications with high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients to provide technical insights and strategic patent advice.
• Contribute to business development and strategic growth efforts.
• Mentor junior practitioners and support team development.
• Manage client budgets and project timelines efficiently.
• Stay updated on industry developments and legal trends.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in life sciences or related field; master's degree or substantial industry experience considered.
• 5-10 years of patent prosecution experience in biotechnology or related sectors.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Education
