Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm based in Cedar Park, TX, is seeking a dedicated Patent Agent with experience in patent law and a background in Electrical, Medical Device, or Software Engineering. This position offers an opportunity to work remotely, manage a flexible schedule, and contribute to high-quality intellectual property services for diverse clients.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare provisional and non-provisional patent applications.
• Respond to Office Actions and communications from the USPTO.
• Manage docket schedules, ensuring deadlines are met with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
• Apply the firm’s proprietary Litigation Quality Patent™ process to enhance the value of client services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting patent applications in Electrical, Medical Device, or Software domains.
• Proficiency in handling complex patent prosecution tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

Certifications:

• Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of patent law processes.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
