Associate Attorney needed for Akron office

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with a preference for experience in insurance coverage and litigation. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of legal experience, strong drafting and research skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The position is located in Akron, Ohio.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on various issues related to insurance coverage and litigation matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
• Analyze and review documents and evidence.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Assist senior attorneys with case management and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve case objectives.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong drafting, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teams and independently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, attorneys, and clients.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Ohio.
