Fellowship

Fellow will experience in a law firm devoted to minimizing the justice gap through provision of high-quality legal services to modest-income clients on a sliding scale of affordable fees. Tailored continuing legal education curriculum focusing on substance and procedure of small-firm, solo, and community legal practice. Handle individual representation and advocacy in a variety of civil legal proceedings in CSLP’s practice areas: family law, housing, end of life planning, adult guardianships, small business and special education. Fellows must be willing to practice in all areas of practice including a substantial case load in divorce, custody, and child support. Engage in promotion of CSLP’s services throughout New York City. Maintain regular billing and timekeeping of all cases. Must be a recent graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. Should have passed the New York bar exam.
