Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience in derivatives and structured finance. The ideal candidate brings strong familiarity with over-the-counter derivatives, ISDA documentation, and financial regulatory frameworks. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of structured finance and derivatives contracts

• Interpret and apply regulatory protocols, including those related to Dodd-Frank and ISDA agreements

• Analyze complex legal and financial documentation, including Master Agreements, Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, and Confirmations

• Provide legal counsel to financial institutions and corporate clients on structured finance transactions

• Collaborate with legal teams and business professionals across departments

• Maintain responsiveness to client needs and firm expectations

• Contribute to high-quality legal deliverables under time-sensitive conditions

• Participate in virtual and in-person meetings, ensuring timely communication and updates

• Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of structured finance and derivatives experience

• Familiarity with ISDA documentation and associated regulatory frameworks

• Experience at a large or national law firm is strongly preferred

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment

• Strong judgment, analytical abilities, and writing proficiency

• Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in the state of North Carolina
