Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience

Profile

A law firm in Dallas is seeking an Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. A Texas license and active membership in the State Bar of Texas are required.

Duties:

• Regular communication with clients to build and establish relationships.
• Advising on the status of cases, arbitrations, and legal proceedings.
• Responding to and preparing discovery materials.
• Drafting legal analysis memorandums, briefs, and reports.
• Conducting and defending depositions.
• Responding to and preparing motions, engaging in motion practice.
• Appearing before the Court on behalf of clients.
• Preparing for and attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings, and trials.
• Preparing post-trial motions and appeals, if required.

Requirements:

• Texas license.
• Good standing active membership in the State Bar of Texas.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Defense litigation experience preferred.
