Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Immigration Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its immigration practice. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for career advancement within a collaborative and growing legal team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, client interaction, and participation in removal defense and family-based immigration matters. The attorney will report directly to the Managing Immigration Attorney and work alongside a dedicated team of legal professionals.

Duties:
Explain complex immigration concepts and develop effective legal strategies
Represent clients—both detained and non-detained—in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct in-person client intakes, including visits to detention centers
Prepare and file various immigration applications, such as family-based petitions, waivers, humanitarian relief, and removal defense
Review and revise case filings prepared by paralegals and legal assistants
Conduct legal consultations and advise clients on case strategies
Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documentation for court and USCIS
Collaborate with community organizations, law enforcement, and government agencies on immigration-related issues
Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews
Maintain accurate and timely communication with clients throughout their case process
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in immigration law
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
Strong collaboration and case strategy skills within a legal team
Excellent interpersonal communication and client counseling abilities
Experience in detained and non-detained immigration proceedings
Familiarity with case types including family-based petitions, humanitarian visas, EOIR, and citizenship
Proficiency in legal case management software (preferred)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
Skills:
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients
Strategic thinking with attention to detail and time management
