Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Immigration Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its immigration practice. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for career advancement within a collaborative and growing legal team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, client interaction, and participation in removal defense and family-based immigration matters. The attorney will report directly to the Managing Immigration Attorney and work alongside a dedicated team of legal professionals.

Location:

• Phoenix, Arizona

Duties:

• Explain complex immigration concepts and develop effective legal strategies

• Represent clients—both detained and non-detained—in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct in-person client intakes, including visits to detention centers

• Prepare and file various immigration applications, such as family-based petitions, waivers, humanitarian relief, and removal defense

• Review and revise case filings prepared by paralegals and legal assistants

• Conduct legal consultations and advise clients on case strategies

• Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documentation for court and USCIS

• Collaborate with community organizations, law enforcement, and government agencies on immigration-related issues

• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews

• Maintain accurate and timely communication with clients throughout their case process

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in immigration law

• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

• Strong collaboration and case strategy skills within a legal team

• Excellent interpersonal communication and client counseling abilities

• Experience in detained and non-detained immigration proceedings

• Familiarity with case types including family-based petitions, humanitarian visas, EOIR, and citizenship

• Proficiency in legal case management software (preferred)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:
