Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic legal environment, representing clients in complex patent litigation cases.

Location:

• Chicago

Duties:

• Represent clients in patent litigation cases across various industries

• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda

• Develop litigation strategies and provide legal counsel

• Prepare for and participate in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and legal teams to ensure successful case management

• Oversee discovery processes, including document review and production

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of patent litigation experience

• Strong knowledge of IP law with a focus on patent disputes

• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing abilities

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to a state bar in good standing

Certifications:

• Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

• Experience with patent litigation tools and software

Additional Information:

• Preferred candidates will have an undergraduate and/or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, or a related field
