Job Title: Senior Employment Law Attorney III

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Employment Law Attorney III to join its team in Boise, ID. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mediation and trial experience and a strong ability to manage complex legal issues, perform thorough research and analysis, and advocate effectively for clients. This role involves significant client interaction, marketing efforts, and participation in firm branding activities. The attorney will ensure timely and accurate handling of all case-related tasks, maintain productive working relationships with support staff, and contribute positively to the firm's reputation.

Duties:

  • Successfully mediate and litigate employment law cases with a proven record of achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft detailed memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Market the firm’s services to prospective clients to expand the client base.
  • Perform thorough discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information for litigation preparation.
  • Exercise due diligence in all legal matters to ensure thorough and accurate representation.
  • Manage consultations and efficiently close consults within the firm’s targeted closure range of 30-50%.
  • Approve invoices promptly to support the firm’s financial health every month.
  • Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive, delegating tasks as necessary.
  • Accurately and completely update client management systems with fees, engagement details, trust accounts, client information, invoices, etc.
  • Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff when over-subscribed to ensure the firm's objectives are met.
  • Engage in personal and firm branding activities, including writing blogs, posting on social media, and participating in boards and organizations.
  • Seek positive feedback from clients and encourage positive reviews.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Idaho State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an employment attorney.
  • Extensive trial experience with a history of successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathetic listening and communication.
  • Competence in managing a schedule to meet production and collection objectives.
  • Ability to effectively market legal services and build client relationships.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced legal research capabilities.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using client management and billing software.
  • Competence in electronic discovery and handling of complex data.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Idaho State Bar or eligibility for reciprocal admission.
