Tax Director - Mergers and Acquisitions

The candidate will Collaborate with and assist in the professional development of other tax professionals supporting the M&A Tax practice clients. Lead in business development and revenue generating opportunities for the practice. Serve as an integral part of the firm’s Tax Advisory and Transaction Services Practice working in conjunction with tax and financial professionals throughout the firm. Provide tax technical support, create tailored solutions, and deliver industry expertise to the clients. Serve as a technical resource for the firm (review and manage) on complex issues, both domestic and internationally. Provide fluid buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence on transactions including key risks, remedies, and potential adjustments to the purchase price. Assist in the development and training of other tax staff and provide timely feedback on engagement reviews and year end reviews. Develop and maintain superior client relationships. Share responsibility for all business aspects of client relationships including billing, collecting, and maintaining profitability. Develop external relationships with a goal of fostering business development opportunities with other professional advisors. Participate in cross-selling of other departments' services offered by the firm. Participate in strategic marketing and branding initiatives to increase revenues and help develop marketing materials to highlight the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice capabilities. Bachelor’s degree of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study is required. An advanced tax degree (MST, JD, LLM) is preferred. Should have 10+ years of relevant tax structure experience in a CPA firm, a professional services firm, or a tax consulting practice. CPA designation is required.
