A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in General Liability and Insurance Defense in Deerfield Beach, FL. This role involves working within a dynamic team to provide exceptional legal services and representation to clients.

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials; some travel may be required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Proficiency in handling civil cases from inception to resolution.
• Experience with depositions, including 30(b)(6) and expert witnesses, and substantive motion practice.
• Participation in negotiations and mediations.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of FL; additional state admissions are a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team environment.
• Prompt response to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client interaction skills and telephone manner.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of FL.
