A law firm seeks an Environmental Attorney in Lansing to perform duties related to environmental law, including advising clients on compliance obligations, drafting legal documents, and managing legal transactions within environmental practice areas.

Duties

• Advise on permitting, compliance, enforcement actions, and remedial requirements.
• Author legal memoranda, briefs, motions, discovery, contracts, and regulatory agreements.
• Research environmental, land use, or administrative law at federal, state, and local levels.

Requirements

• 4-6+ years of experience in federal and state environmental and land use law.
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA, FIFRA, and Michigan NREPA equivalents.
• Experience representing clients in minimizing environmental liability risks.
• Admitted to the state bar of Michigan or eligible for admission.
• Experience with solid and hazardous waste facilities is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the state bar of Michigan.
