A nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking a Senior Construction/Labor Law Trial Attorney to join its White Plains, NY office. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator with a background in defending complex construction and NY Labor Law claims. The position offers the opportunity to lead high-stakes matters from inception through trial and work closely with a team of experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. A hybrid work schedule is available.

Location

• White Plains, New York

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving:

  • NY Labor Law Sections 200, 240, and 241 claims

  • General liability and construction defect litigation

  • Auto and transportation liability

  • Insurance defense litigation

• Conduct court appearances, depositions, and motion practice

• Appear at OSHA hearings as needed

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda

• Communicate regularly with clients and provide detailed case updates

• Collaborate with partners and associates to develop defense strategies

• Prepare cases for trial and potentially serve as lead trial counsel

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant litigation experience

• Experience handling construction accident cases, particularly under NYS Labor Law

• Familiarity with insurance defense, general liability, and premises liability litigation

• Prior trial experience or significant case preparation strongly preferred

• Ability to manage complex caseloads with minimal supervision

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York

• In good standing with the New York State Bar
