A law firm based in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with a focus on employment law, particularly federal court litigation involving wage and hour cases. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about representing plaintiffs in class actions and mass actions. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, and a dedication to advancing workers' rights.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in wage and hour disputes, including collective actions, class actions, and mass actions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in discovery and pre-trial activities, including depositions, both taking and defending.
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop case strategies and communicate with clients.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and changes in wage and hour laws.
  • Effectively manage case timelines and deliver superior client service.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law, preferably in Texas.
  • Federal court litigation experience is required.
  • Experience in wage and hour or class action litigation is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for representing workers and advancing their rights.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in at least one state (Texas preferred).
  • Active license to practice law in the United States.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing.
  • Oral advocacy and deposition skills.
  • Client communication and relationship management.
  • Case management and organization.
  • Familiarity with wage and hour laws, including federal regulations.
