A respected law firm based in Athens, GA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. Duties:

• Review incoming cases to formulate strategic action plans, budgets, and recommendations

• Identify and manage pleading requirements, delegating responsibilities to paralegal support as appropriate

• Draft discovery responses and oversee document production processes

• Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings

• Negotiate settlements, obtain authority approvals, and prepare for trial as needed

• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure case progression

• Support a diverse client base while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of prior litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense

• Admission to practice law in the state of Georgia (active and in good standing)

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for client and internal collaboration

• Keen attention to detail with strong organizational and case management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability and willingness to learn legal database systems

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar License in Georgia
