A mid-sized, full-service law firm in New York City is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Leasing Associate to join its Real Estate department. Location

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leasing documents for office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties

• Represent both landlords and tenants in significant leasing transactions across New York and nationally

• Handle leasing transactions related to single assets or large property portfolios

• Support broader real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing (experience in these areas is a plus)

• Collaborate with colleagues across real estate, corporate, and litigation teams as needed

• Provide strategic counsel on lease structuring and asset management issues

Requirements

• 3–12 years of experience handling commercial real estate leasing transactions

• Familiarity with landlord and tenant representation on both single-property and portfolio transactions

• Experience in sale-purchase, financing, or joint venture real estate work (preferred but not required)

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
