Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general litigation, including liability and auto liability cases, and will be comfortable managing a diverse caseload from start to finish. Duties:

• Manage an assigned caseload with minimal supervision while collaborating with senior attorneys as needed.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in depositions, court appearances, and motion hearings.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy.
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and high standards of service.
• Meet all client deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Accurately track and record billable hours.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of litigation experience, specifically in general liability, premises liability, and auto liability.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Good judgment and the ability to handle a variety of legal situations.
• Admission to practice in the State of Connecticut (additional admission to NY, NJ, and/or PA is a plus).
• Federal Court experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut (additional State Bar admissions are beneficial).
