Duties:

• Lead and manage litigation cases involving personal injury, premises liability, defamation, construction defect, and insurance disputes

• Oversee and mentor junior team members on case assignments and litigation strategy

• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Represent clients at depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Coordinate closely with clients, experts, and co-counsels throughout the lifecycle of each case

• Prepare cases for trial, including development of trial themes, exhibits, and witness outlines

• Engage in case evaluation and risk assessment at various stages of litigation

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience in a defense-focused practice

• Strong command of written and verbal advocacy

• Proven ability to manage caseloads independently with minimal supervision

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment

• Trial experience or a strong desire to gain trial experience

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking

• Strong case management and organizational abilities

• Effective communicator with both legal teams and clients

• Familiarity with complex torts, insurance coverage issues, and civil procedure
