Duties

• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including foreclosures, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, appeals, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial disputes.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Advise clients on risk assessment and litigation strategies.
• Assist with negotiating and drafting agreements to resolve distressed loan products.

Requirements

• Must be admitted to the Ohio bar and be in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation preferred.
• Experience in consumer financial services litigation and/or commercial litigation considered a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
