Tax Services Senior - Business Tax Services - Diversified Staff Group

The candidate will research complex tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific client needs. Identify and document tax technical and engagement issues and risks. Prepare budgets, workplans and other planning documents. Prepare and maintain accurate, well organized workpapers. Develop an understanding of engagement economics to become aware of how decisions impact profitability. Supervise the work of Staff professionals. Contribute ideas/opinions to the tax engagement teams. Prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation, and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree in tax or law and approximately 1-2 years of related work experience. A valid US CPA, or Enrolled Agent certification, or licensed attorney designation OR progress toward CPA, EA or licensed attorney designation is required. Working knowledge of tax laws and ability to apply knowledge is required. Experience in professional services environment preferred. Must have proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining tools.
