Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Plantation, FL is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will be adept in handling intricate cases, including shareholder and partnership disputes, defaulted financial transactions, creditors' rights matters, and real estate litigation. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential, along with experience attending court conferences, and hearings, and conducting depositions throughout all phases of discovery. The firm is looking for an attorney capable of supervising junior associates while also thriving in high-pressure situations.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee complex commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with all legal standards.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and depositions while maintaining professionalism and a strategic approach.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies, offering sound legal advice tailored to their specific needs.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and best practices to enhance service delivery and legal acumen.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.
• 4-8 years of experience in commercial and/or Trusts & Estates litigation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision and to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven experience in trial settings, including courtroom appearances and trial preparation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with clients and counterparties.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with junior and senior attorneys.

Education:

• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the State of New York.
