A law firm seeks an admitted Immigration Attorney for a promising Associate position in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, engage with clients, and collaborate with a dedicated team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a diverse workload of cases.
• Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
• Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
• Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Ability to work collaboratively and strategize with team members.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law.
