Associate Attorney needed for Saint Petersburg office

A law firm in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney to provide legal advice, conduct research, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court. The ideal candidate will have some litigation experience, with a preference for experience in family law and/or trust and estate litigation.

Job Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients on various legal matters.
• Conduct legal research to support client cases.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Manage a fast-paced caseload efficiently.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and court appearances.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and case law.
• Assist with case preparation and trial readiness.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Florida Bar.
• Preferably some litigation experience, particularly in family law and/or trust and estate litigation.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admitted to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent research skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with family law, divorces, estate (probate), and trust litigation is a plus.
