Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a litigation-focused Associate Attorney to join its Consumer Financial Services, Data, and Technology (CFS+) Practice Group in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, particularly those with an interest or background in representing financial institutions in state and federal courts.

Location:

• Tampa, Florida

Duties:

• Represent clients in commercial litigation matters related to consumer financial services and technology

• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis

• Manage litigation in both state and federal court systems

• Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings

• Work collaboratively with colleagues on complex financial regulatory and litigation issues

• Stay informed on emerging legal trends in financial services and data technology

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience

• Experience with litigation involving financial institutions preferred

• Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of case management

• Familiarity with federal and Florida state court procedures

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with The Florida Bar (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities
