Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Boston, MA, is actively seeking a mid-level associate to join its dynamic litigation team through a recruitment partnership. The position focuses on high-stakes insurance and reinsurance disputes, offering the opportunity to contribute to complex litigation matters involving professional liability, D&O, and general liability coverage. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on litigation experience and a strong grasp of insurance-related legal frameworks.

Duties:

• Handle litigation involving insurance coverage and reinsurance matters

• Draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Manage all stages of the discovery process, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice

• Represent clients during court appearances and hearings (commensurate with experience level)

• Analyze complex coverage issues under various policy types (e.g., professional liability, general liability, D&O)

• Support or lead business development initiatives and client relationship activities

• Take responsibility for individual case management and contribute to broader litigation strategies

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in insurance litigation and commercial dispute resolution

• Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and reinsurance issues

• Prior exposure to managing litigation dockets, including high-exposure matters

• Strong legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills

• Proven ability to work with autonomy while also functioning as part of a collaborative legal team

• Track record of managing client expectations and contributing to client retention efforts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in Massachusetts (or ability to waive in)

Skills:

• Strategic legal reasoning and sharp analytical capabilities
