Duties

  • Manage and litigate a variety of cases, including commercial, employment, healthcare, and pre-suit disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
  • Handle depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Provide strategic counsel and representation to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist with mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail while managing a diverse caseload.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and court schedules.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of litigation experience.
  • Texas Bar membership required.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to client service.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.

Skills

  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
  • Strong oral advocacy and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
