Job Title: Real Estate Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in New York City is seeking a driven mid-level associate with at least four years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate law. This role involves representing a diverse set of domestic and international clients across a wide spectrum of complex property transactions, including financing, leasing, development, joint ventures, and acquisitions. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to manage multifaceted deals, communicate effectively with sophisticated stakeholders, and contribute to a high-performing legal team. Familiarity with digital infrastructure, telecommunications, or data center matters will be considered a valuable asset.
Duties:
Handle a broad portfolio of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects
Lead or support financing and joint venture matters, particularly involving multifamily, office, industrial, or retail assets
Advise clients on risk assessment, legal structuring, and compliance across various jurisdictions
Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues on large-scale projects and multidisciplinary matters
Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents with precision and efficiency
Engage with corporate and institutional clients, developers, and investors across a range of industries
Participate actively in internal training and professional development opportunities aligned with advancement
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in commercial real estate law
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex transactions
Exposure to or direct involvement in financing and joint venture structuring is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cohesively within team-oriented environments
Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Interest or background in digital infrastructure or data center-related transactions is considered advantageous
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited institution
Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for prompt admission
Skills:
Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills
Clear and persuasive communication, both verbal and written
Proficient in managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
Strong client service orientation and commercial awareness
