Job Title: Immigration Attorney
Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Houston, TX, is actively seeking a driven and compassionate Immigration Associate Attorney to join its expanding practice. Duties:
Represent individuals and families in a broad array of U.S. immigration matters, including family-based petitions, waivers, and removal defense
Conduct legal consultations and assess client eligibility across multiple immigration pathways
Prepare and file petitions, applications, motions, and supporting documentation before USCIS, EOIR, and related agencies
Attend immigration court hearings and USCIS interviews as necessary
Participate in community outreach and firm-hosted immigration clinics
Contribute to firm training sessions and legal education workshops
Collaborate with colleagues on strategy and case development within a team-focused environment
Requirements:
Active license to practice law in the United States (state jurisdiction is flexible)
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in immigration law practice
Demonstrated client-focused approach and high emotional intelligence
Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills
Strong organizational habits and attention to procedural detail
Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients during consultations
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state or territory
Good standing with the licensing Bar
Skills:
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred (additional language fluency also considered valuable)
Competence in managing a high-volume caseload
Familiarity with fixed-fee service models and client-centered legal services
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
Cultural sensitivity and empathy in client interactions
