Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Louisiana and/or Mississippi licensed attorney to join its litigation team in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in insurance defense litigation.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation and analysis.
• Draft and review various legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with clients and opposing counsel.
• Represent clients in litigation proceedings and administrative hearings.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines efficiently.
• Stay current on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active licensure to practice law in Louisiana and/or Mississippi.
• Experience in defense litigation.
• Excellent legal writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability in legal drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of litigation procedures and experience in court or administrative hearings preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar license in Louisiana and/or Mississippi.
