Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Plano is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience, particularly in representing the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate should have a background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, along with strong academic credentials, are required. The candidate should be adept in case management and ready to take the lead. Admission to practice law in at least one state is a prerequisite for this position.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters pertaining to the gaming industry, with a focus on gaming regulatory issues.
• Draft and argue discovery motions relevant to gaming regulatory cases.
• Take and defend depositions in gaming-related litigation matters.
• Manage cases efficiently, including coordinating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in the gaming industry, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on gaming regulatory matters as needed.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in at least one state.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry, preferably in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
• Experience with gaming regulatory matters, including casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, and fantasy sports.
• Strong background in drafting and arguing discovery motions.
• Proven track record of taking and defending depositions.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in at least one jurisdiction.
