Assistant District Attorney
The candidate will work in the Sex Crimes Unit and handle sexual assault cases for victims older than 14. Investigate and prosecute matters of pre- and post-arrest matters referred to sex crimes by the NYPD, private attorneys, advocates, or through the hotline. Handle some of the most sensitive and complicated cases in a survivor-centered process that focuses on trauma-informed techniques. Work on cases involving DNA, toxicology and will have an opportunity to work with some of the most renowned experts in the field of sexual violence. Lecture and conduct community outreach to educate and empower survivors about sexual assault and the reporting process. Must have 3+ years of trial experience with NYS Bar admission. Prosecutorial experience is preferred.
