The candidate will perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions. Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action. Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs. Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks. Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings. Must be able to handle heavy caseloads with little supervision. Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years and a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed. Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role. Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association. Should have 1-year experience in Family Court in Broward or Miami-Dade counties. Comfortable with difficult client conversations, able to show empathy and compassion for their troubles and highlight opportunities that will enable them to see a path forward with their situation more clearly. Member in good standing with the Florida Bar. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a big plus.
