Duties: Provide legal representation and advice to ADOA Risk Management and state agencies, including formal and informal opinions and case evaluation. Represent and defend state agencies in federal and state administrative actions, state superior court and federal court lawsuits, and state and federal appellate actions. Provide legal representation and advice to ADOA Risk Management and its insured agencies in workers' compensation insurance defense matters. Conduct discovery, litigation, evidentiary hearings settlement of cases, and appellate work. Assist in the drafting of rules, regulations, legislation, and policies that affect the agency. Assist in the coordination of the delivery of legal services by the Office of the Attorney General to the state agencies. Assist colleagues, legal assistants, and others within the Section. Travel within and out of the State of Arizona.
