Accounting Operations Manager
The candidate will manage all of the firm’s accounting and finance operations, including both strategic and tactical responsibilities. Manage budgeting and planning. Identify opportunities to suggest process improvements and efficiencies within the firm, including technology improvements. Interface with staff and clients. Supervise other accounting roles. Review and verify the accuracy of invoices and processing of payments. Month-end processing to include timely billing and collections. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial and budget reports. Manage vendor relations for the firm’s leases and insurance policies. Collaborate with attorneys and clients to create and maintain customized reporting. Liaise with outside payroll (Paychex), benefits, and CPA firm. Administer and manage the firm’s benefits, 401(k), and payroll for employees. Manage the end-to-end financial and internal controls process. Assist with equipment purchases and leases e.g., copiers, telephones, etc. Manage space, and office lease negotiations. Handle insurance policy renewals e.g., malpractice, cyber, employment practices, etc. Ensure business and professional licensures and certifications are renewed. Provide assistance with marketing oversight as needed. Perform other responsibilities as needed.
