A law firm in McLean, VA, is seeking a Patent Attorney with 0-5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. The ideal candidate should have a degree in computer science, preferably electrical engineering, and experience in drafting patent applications in computer-related arts, including software technologies and related fields.

Duties:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications.
• Draft patent applications related to computer science and electrical engineering.
• Conduct patent research and analysis.
• Collaborate with inventors and stakeholders to understand inventions.
• Advise clients on intellectual property matters.
• Communicate with patent examiners and clients.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Degree in computer science (preferred) or electrical engineering.
• Experience drafting patent applications in computer-related arts is a plus.

Education:

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering.

Certifications:

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred.
